At a young age, my fascination with the beauty of nature blossomed, leading me to ​embark on my very first hike alongside my mother. Growing up in a family with a ​strong entrepreneurial spirit, I was exposed to a business-minded environment that ​significantly influenced my career trajectory. Despite facing societal norms and ​expectations, I made the bold decision to pursue a Bachelor of Science in ​Agriculture, a field that resonated deeply with my passion for the environment and ​sustainable living. Graduating in 2023 marked a significant milestone in my journey, ​as it symbolized my commitment to nurturing and preserving the natural world.

The inception of my brand, BlackJ, was an unexpected turn of events catalyzed by the ​unforeseen circumstances of the 2020 pandemic. Leveraging the widespread shift to ​online platforms during this time, I seized the opportunity to introduce my first ​product, utilizing an initial capital of 700 pesos to lay the foundation for my ​entrepreneurial aspirations. However, the following year brought unforeseen ​challenges as the devastating impact of COVID-19 struck my family, claiming the ​lives of both my beloved mother and father.

Despite grappling with profound loss and grief, I found solace in my unwavering ​determination to forge ahead. Embracing a spirit of resilience, I immersed myself in ​various competitions, including the prestigious Young Farmers Challenge, where I had ​the honor of meeting esteemed individuals, including the president. Additionally, ​forging a partnership with Bicol University served as a pivotal moment in my ​entrepreneurial journey, providing me with invaluable resources and support to ​further my endeavors.

Venturing into the realm of international trade, I showcased my products at ​the esteemed World Trade Center Exhibit and other fairs, garnering recognition ​and acclaim for my innovative approach to agriculture. These endeavors not ​only fueled my educational pursuits but also paved the way for serendipitous ​encounters, including meeting the love of my life amidst the whirlwind of ​challenges and triumphs.
